AAW Changemaking Week

Recognizing the power of storytelling in shaping narratives and fostering cross-country collaboration in the diamond, AAW launched "Changemaking Week," a unique initiative bringing together five members from the Riyadh metro area core teams, two from the Fez metro area core team, and two from the Cairo metro area core team. Throughout the week, these nine WISE changemakers engaged in deep storytelling exchanges, sharing personal experiences that reflect the meaning of changemaking in their respective contexts.

This immersive exchange allowed the participants to articulate their journeys, the challenges they have overcome, and the aspirations they hold for their communities. The reflections shared during Change Week provided profound insights into the interconnectedness of changemaking efforts across the Arab world, helping to refine and align AAW's regional narrative. By centering the voices of these young women leaders, we strengthened our ability to communicate the collective efforts of the metro areas, ensuring that our messaging resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining a unified vision for transformation across the Arab World.

In addition to the storytelling sessions, Changemaking Week also served as a platform to equip participants with practical tools to sustain and scale their impact. The young women engaged in a hands-on experience focused on mobilizing resources and expanding their networks. Through dynamic peer-led discussions and expert guidance, they explored strategic approaches to resource generation, equipping them with the confidence and knowledge needed to further their initiatives. These insights will play a crucial role in ensuring that their work continues to thrive, amplifying the reach and sustainability of their changemaking efforts.
